How many public holidays does Romania have in 2027?

17, under art. 139(1) of the Labour Code. 9 fall on a weekday (Monday–Friday) and 8 on a weekend.

When is Orthodox Easter in 2027?

Sunday, 2 May 2027. Good Friday and Easter Monday are days off too, so the Easter break runs 30 April – 3 May (4 days off) without any leave.

Are holidays that fall on a weekend moved to a weekday?

No. The Labour Code does not grant a replacement day when a public holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday.

Is 10 May a day off in 2027?

No. The bill (PL-x 554/2026) was rejected by the Senate and is in committee in the Chamber of Deputies; it is not law (checked 23 October 2026). 10 May 2027 is a Monday.

What is the best bridge in 2027?

By days off per leave day: 5 days off (6 Jan – 10 Jan 2027) for 1 leave day.

Does the Government add extra bridge days?

Only for the public sector: by 15 January each year a Government decision may set extra days off next to public holidays, which are made up later (art. 139(4)). Private employers decide for themselves.
